All About Us  I Our Letter  I  Our Slideshow I View More Family Profiles

As far back as either of us can remember, we both envisioned our life surrounded by the people we loved and a family of our own.  We can think of no greater joy than to be able to share the laughter in life and our love with a child.  As you may have already guessed, fate intervened and while having to fight for Pamela’s life, we lost the ability to create a family on our own.  We have happily chosen to build it through adoption.  Whether it is a little boy, little girl, twins or siblings, our hope is to fill each day of our children’s lives with love from our hearts, raising them with imagination, creativity and guidance to let them experience what life has to offer while letting them fly on their own wings.  So in advance, we want to thank you for being one of the most amazing people we may know in our life, as you have selflessly chosen to make someone else’s dream come true.  Although we can’t imagine what it is like to walk in your shoes, we understand how important making this decision is.  How do you pick the people who will raise the child that you are bringing into this world?  What makes you feel the connection to know that they are the ones?  Thank you for giving us this opportunity to share a glimpse of who we are with you, to see if we are that connection and creating the possibility of sharing our life with you for years to come.  We hope you find that special connection

Pamela
1. One of Pamela’s passions is to raise money and awareness of Breast Cancer in the hopes that one day there will be a world without Cancer.

  2. Pamela’s favorite recent Disney movie is enchanted, which is part of her extensive Disney movie collection.  There is just something about it that makes her heart smile as she sings her way through the movie.   (The end of Toy Story 3 always makes her cry too!)

  3. Pamela loves to cook and bake (which is great for Gerald’s sweet tooth).  She just took a cake decorating class and can make some cupcake creations that are amazing.

  4. Pamela loves to golf- as long as there is a windmill and clown face involved.  She has to try every new mini-golf place she can at home and on vacation.

  5. Although Pamela was a dancer when she was growing up, she won 1st place at the ShowBiz dance competition in 2007 for lyrical and jazz in the adult team category.

6. Pamela believes in giving back and spending a great deal of time working with volunteer organizations such as community family services and domestic abuse projects.

  7. Pamela’s mantra in life is “when life throws you lemons, throw grapefruits back.  They make a bigger splat!"

  8. When Gerald met Pamela, he was amazed that she came with a complete set of power tools – and she knew how to use them.

  9. One of Pamela’s most memorable trips was driving 2000 miles with her parents, brother and Baba Eve in their big station wagon to Walt Disney World when she was 7.  She still has the original Winnie the Pooh and Dumbo stuffed animals she bought on that trip.

  10. For Pamela, her 2 favorite smiles in the world are those of her little nephews when she comes over to pick them up for a play date.

Gerald
1. We are positive Gerald was Cookie Monster in another life.  Whenever cookies are around him, they seem to disappear very quickly.

  2. During college, Gerald’s nickname was Flash.  His roommates used to time him to see how quick he could get to places and back since he once ran a 5 minute mile.

  3. Yes, as Pamela’s nephew said at our wedding dinner “Look Daddy, there’s another Uncle Gerald”.  Gerald is a twin!  His brother’s name is Peter and they are identical mirror images.

  4. One of Gerald’s favorite places on earth is at Jaxson’s Ice Cream Parlor in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.  They make big old fashioned sundae’s that are meant for sharing.

  5. Gerald’s favorite trip with Pamela was to San Juan, Puerto Rico.  He says it is because it was a pretty little island, but in reality it is because there were 2 amazing forts he got to spend time playing at.

6. Spending the entire day at his grandparent’s house with his family- parents, siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins with tons of food around was one of Gerald’s happiest childhood memories.

  7. One of Gerald’s dreams came true last summer when he and Pamela bought a beautiful 5 bedroom home in a family friendly neighborhood, and has been loving living there since.

  8. When football season comes around, Gerald can be found in front of a TV whether it is college or NFL, talking to the TV directing the players, who he is sure are listening to him.

  9. Gerald is addicted to reading sci-fi novels and military history/strategy books.  His happy place is spending the day at Barnes and Noble reading books in the aisles.

  10. For Gerald, there is nothing like the feeling of a happy tired puppy snuggled up next to you on the couch after playing fetch
