Dear Birth
Parents,
First
and foremost we would like to thank you for loving your child so much
that you would consider the gift of adoption for your child and some
lucky family.
Who We Are
Our names are Darian and Robert
amazingly enough we met at church while attending the University of
Illinois. We have now been married for seven years now. We are
looking at adoption to add to our family due to infertility issues. It
has been our desire to add a child to our family for quite some time.
Neither of our parents has grandchildren yet, and they can’t wait for
the day that they can spoil a grandchild. Darian has a brother and
sister that can’t wait to become an aunt and uncle.
Where We Live
We live in a Chicago suburb.
It is a medium sized town with a small town feel. We enjoy walking in
town on classic car night, and going to a popcorn store that Bob’s
mother went to as a girl. Our house is on a quiet tree lined
neighborhood with many school age children and younger. The grade
school is in walking distance from our house, and there are also a
couple of parks in walking/biking distance. We especially love the
neighborhood because of the friendly relationships we have with our
neighbors.
 About
Bob
Bob has always been good in
math/sciences and with animals when he was younger. He is now a trust
officer for a Fortune 500 global financial services company here in
Chicago, but he works at a branch close to where we live. He also works
at an animal hospital about two days a month for his love of animals.
In his free time he enjoys video games, watching movies and
bicycling/working out. He also enjoys getting together with his friends
from his childhood days whenever they are in back in town visiting.
About Darian
Darian is a music teacher.
She has taught band and general music to 1st-8th
graders for four years. Now she teaches group piano lessons to 4-10
year old children. Darian’s love of children and music started before
she graduated. She has baby sat for many different families while in
high school, and was always involved in music somehow. It wasn’t until
late that she decided to combine the two in a great combination. Now
Darian plays and occasionally directs the community band that she is
in. She enjoys biking to the library, and doing dog agility. She also
has a love of family history/artifacts. For this reason giving the
child a background of their birth parents is important to her.
Typical Weekend
Activities
On a typical weekend Darian
can be found participating in community band concerts, and dog agility.
Bob also participates in these activities whether it is sitting in the
audience, or helping to run dog agility trials. Some weekends Bob goes
to a minor league baseball game with Darian’s father. We both go to
church on Sunday because God is the foundation of our lives. After
church we head over to Darian’s parents house for Sunday dinner.
During holidays both of our family’s get
together for big family dinners. The entire family including Darian’s
sister and brother are excited about adding a child to these
gatherings. During the summer we also have picnics with friends and
enjoy going to the local drive-in movie theater.
 Intended
Life At Home With A Child
Darian is looking forward to
being a stay at home mom (baking cookies, going to the park, bedtime
routines). She may do some part time music teaching when the child is
in school all day. Bob is ready to be an active participant in the
child’s life. Such as, reading bedtime stories, cooking family
breakfasts, and seeing the child off to school. Both of us can’t wait
to take the child trick-or-treating, to the zoo, or to the many other
great amenities that the Chicagoland area has to offer.
We would be very happy to share some of
the activities with the birthparents if they so choose. We intend to
raise the child knowing that their birthparents loved them so much that
they gave them a family that deeply wanted a child.
