Wow! Words cannot express how impressed we were with the past weekend's education session! Both of us were very quiet throughout the two day program because we were pretty overwhelmed and emotionally touched by the things we learned. I guess you could say we were slightly naive before our eye opening weekend! We are both so impressed by the honesty and personal emotion that you displayed during the session. It is extremely commendable that you would be so open and honest- About the "issues" with raising adoptedchildren when your livelihood depends on families choosing you to represent them. It shows just how much you care, not only- About your own children, but all the children that you help to place with their forever families.

Although we were overwhelmed at first, we now feel even more energized- About starting our family through adoption. The issues are out on the table and we feel better prepared to make the best possible decisions for our child. Please thank Alexis for her courage to discuss her personal life with strangers; she is truly an amazing adult!Again, thank you for your honesty and the wealth of knowledge that you have bestowed upon us! We are forever grateful. We are continuing to work on our dossier and can't wait for a referral of our sweet Guatemalan girl!

We just received our adoption education certificate. I just wanted to let you know that you guys really do a great job in due diligence with families. It was bittersweet for us to participate as we know the ups and downs of being a part of an adoptees life. Your stories reminded us of many of the things that my husband’s sisters went through and we felt that you presented it very clearly and with warmth. There were times we wanted to speak up but there are things that are emotional and sometimes it takes too long to explain why we know XYZ, it's far easier to sit back and observe and know that our family loves and supports each other.

We also enjoyed getting to know our social worker. She's a great asset to your organization. As your office wraps up our home study we are really happy to have gotten to know you and your staff. I have to admit that we were very nervous the first few times we spoke to you.

I just wanted you to know that we truly appreciate the work that you do. We would recommend your agency to anyone who is thinking- About adoption, even just as a resource. What I've found from your agency that I don't hear from friends who have chosen other agencies is the amount of educating you do. This is so important.

We get many inquiries- About adoption because of our family. Friends think we are dialed in but this experience has shown us that we weren't as dialed in as we thought, we learned quite a bit! After getting to know your agency I'm happy to know there's a great resource right here in Oregon.
