Dana has been an adoption social worker with Journeys of the Heart since October 1998. Her work includes completing home studies and post-placement evaluations for adopting families. Dana grew up in the northern suburbs of Chicago where she continues to live with her husband and two children. Dana attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where she earned a degree in social work and psychology. Dana has a long and deep commitment to adoption work. Before joining the Journeys' staff, she worked in the adoption field for 28 years, as in addition to interning in a public health program and working at a hospital.

Dana says: "Working in this field has been my passion for the past 28 years. I feel so fortunate to be a part of helping others to become families and helping children find the love and security of a permanent and loving home."
