I grew up in a suburb of Seattle, Washington. I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Seattle Pacific University, and then moved to Chicago and received my Masters of Arts degree in Social Work from the University of Chicago. I have worked in the social work field for over nine years, mostly with children and families, and mostly in foster care and adoption. I have worked doing advocacy work, child and individual therapy, and case management. I feel adoption is a wonderful privilege for families and children alike. It affords children to grow up in loving families, and gives parents the opportunity to share their love with another little life.
